When I first heard about Carrie Underwood doing a concert in Spokane I was SUPER excited! I wanted to go but had to save money up for a ticket. Well, I forgot about it for a while...then the day of her concert I was reminded of it and was really bummed that I had forgotten all about it and now I couldn't go :( I checked TicketsWest for tickets and they had a pair of tickets for $70 a piece way far away from the stage...not okay for me. So then I checked Craigslist and saw an ad that was posted, literally, TWO minutes before I checked...it was for a pair of tickets for $60!!!! Not super far from the stage! I was SO excited! So then...I went to talk to Cody and he said he'd really like to do it if I could get both for $40...I asked the guy and he said he has had a ton of phone calls about it, so probably not :( I was really bummed...asked him if he could give me a minute and I'd call him back. So I sat there trying to figure out a way to make it work...then it popped in my head that my Grandma had given me $20 to go TOWARDS that concert several months before...I figured I had used the money but I decided to check, just in case. Low and behold in my night stand drawer was a $20 bill tucked on the side! OH MY WORD! I ran downstairs to tell Cody that all we would need to pay out of pocket would be $40, he was excited too! So we quickly gathered our stuff together and met the guy selling the tickets, got them, then headed off to the Spokane Arena for the concert! It was such a surreal experience! Carrie Underwood has been a new favorite of mine...her songs really touch me and I can relate with them! She is incredibly talented and boy can she sing live!!! I have so much respect for her as an artist! AMAZING! I cannot WAIT for her to come back to Spokane! This time I'll be more prepared! haha :)

Yay!!!!!
So excited!!!

A little "background". First off, about three years ago Cody and I went to look at engagement/wedding rings because we felt we were getting close to getting engaged...we found THE absolute PERFECT ring...the cut, clarity, and color of the diamond WAS FLAWLESS and the price was perfect! But, we were unsure about when we were going to get married...Cody never proposed so after a couple months I figured he hadn't bought the ring...Second, for the past few days Cody and I have been WANTING to get married within the next couple months so we decided to start looking for a place to live once we were married. We found an AMAZING townhouse that we both fell in love with! We applied for it Wednesday...found out on Friday that we were approved!!! :-) Prior to us being approved Cody had told me that if we get the house then we will have to get all dressed up and go out to The Olive Garden to celebrate! Of course I agreed :) Then a day or two later he mentioned that we might as well look at rings before dinner so we could get the ball rolling...Tuesday came :-) I was all dressed up...Cody picked me up (took some pictures before to put in the invitations if we wanted to)...and we went to Zales in hopes of finding the perfect ring again! :-) We got there and sat down and I looked at some rings but they all were NOT what I was looking and hoping for :( I got discouraged a bit and asked if she had a certain type of ring I was looking for...the lady said, "well actually we have one in the jewelry safe, I can go get it for you if you'd like?" I said, "yes thank you!" She brings it over to the counter, sets it down, and then Cody grabs and drops to his knee and opens the box!!!!!!!!!! I immediately start crying...trying to figure out if this is really happening or what was going on!!!! Cody started by saying "I have had this ring for three years...he got choked up and then continued with asking me to marry him!!! I OF COURSE said YES!!! This ring was the ring that we found and fell in love with three years ago!!! Now I am going to marry THE BEST man EVER!!! I LOVE HIM SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
